To veil or not to veil?

I always used to think veils were kind of old fashioned and not in a good way. Now I've just about come full circle.

Last week's shoot featured the most exquisite French lace veil and there's something so ethereal and wondrous about a veil done right.

Which these beauties from Twigs & Honey definitely are. Shot by Elisabeth Messina which of course makes them even more beautiful, who could fail to be moved by these lighter than light creations.

Which one's your favourite? Think it's the last one does it for me, something about those rhinestones.

Hair envy

It's all about plaits (braids for you US folks) and buns for me at the moment. Elegant but relaxed. Perfect bridal hair.

Style crush on... isabel lucas

Being an avid Home and Away fan (yes, tragic I know) I have been aware of the ridiculously beautiful Isabel Lucas for a good few years.

She pulls off the hippy boho look with a kind of innocence that makes me think of Bambi/Disney characters. With my current love of all things 70s, I wouldn't mind channelling it myself...

Serious wedding dress envy

Most of the time I am more than happy to be a wedding planner but when I see dresses like this all I want is to be a bride. Just look at them. I'd wear every single one at my wedding if I could, I mean how could you possibly choose?

Although if I had to, it'd be this first one I think...

Although this one makes my heart sigh a little too...

The bow. The detailing...

The colour. Oh and the texture...

The bow. Need I say more...

This divine collection BHLDN meaning Beholden is from the genius brand behind Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters and launches this Valentine's day. Rumour has it is is only available in the States for now *sob* but hopefully this won't be the case for long.

These beauties aren't even super expensive. All dresses range from $1000 to $4000 AND there's a bridesmaid collection too.

Phew. All too exciting. All I know is, if I were a bride-to-be I'd be jumping on a plane across the sea to get my hands on one of these bad boys!

Things that have caught my eye of late...

Good morning my lovelies, this is the calm before the storm of a super busy week for me. Why is this time of year always so crazy eh. I imagine your lives are equally as jam packed!

I thought this was a nice way to start this week's Monday Medley...

the thought

the dress

Azzoro (uber chic French fashion house) launches a bridal collection Azurro MariƩe. Okay now this definitely won't be for the brides on a budget but a girl can dream right?

There's going to be 30 dresses featuring both short and long styles and a variety of delicious fabrics.

The totally decadent and divine part is that each dress comes with a personalised label with the bride's name and wedding date AND an illustration of the dress as a souvenir.

All very VIP so far and the treatment you get promised at the London, Paris or Barcelona boutiques sounds wondrous. I wonder if they'll make me a dress in the name of research?

the eyelashes

I have decided after reading this post over at OMG I'M Getting Married that I am going to go and get me some false eyelashes. Quite frankly I am fed up of my pathetic spiky spider legs eyelashes and want some glamour. How amazing would it be to wake up all fluttery eyed and girly!

the bride

This bride's amazing eclectic style is captured rather beautifully by Chloe Browne aka Caught The Light

Just check out the venue, the bridesmaids and the styling. It is epic I tell you.

the photos

I discovered these beauties over at Style Me Pretty. I really like the-looking-into-the-sun effect.

the jewellery

These pieces are just presented so well. Found over at tales of a jUnkaholic, they are part of the new collection by blog owner and all round cool lady Artemis.

That's it! Enjoy your Monday.

Style crush on...emma watson

I know, not original and I don't normally go for such wholesome style - preferring a little bit of edge but there's something about Miss Watson in these editorials, especially now she's gone all elfin, that I quite admire...

What do you think? And are you a fan of her short crop?

Style crush on...freja beha

She's got that Danish too cool for school look about her. Her bone structure is to die for, she looks feminine yet androgynous and like she just does doesn't give a damn about much. Kind of like Kate Moss in the 90s. All of which is pretty hard to achieve and therefore I admire.

What you think? Is she worthy of the title 'style crush'?! Past style crush so far includes Zooey Deschanel

Pink & Purple

Pink and purple is currently my favourite colour combo. I love the unapologetic bright, bold, sexiness of these two together. Pale pink, bright purple vs hot pink and lilac I like 'em all...

I adore these short, pastel dresses. At the risk of upstaging the bride I'd love to see some daring bridesmaids in these bad boys.

Are these purple hydrangeas I spy?

Fresh flowers on the head instead of in the hands. Has anyone seen a bride do this?

Could this boutonniere be any more gorgeous/divine/cute/insert any other overused adjective?

So technically this isn't a groom, it's the rather delish Devendra Banhart, nonetheless I'm quite a fan of the pink bow tie and black braces.

For sheer glam factor, this pale lilac gown...

Or this pink perfection perhaps...

This one is an actual real bride...

Yes, I'll have all of these please...

Some of you clever chicks will have noticed this ring is not pink and purple, rather blue and purple but it's too damn wondrous not to include.

Pale pastel pinkies and over the knee socks...

or the rather more glam satin babies...

Not sure how I could bring myself to cut this...

Combined with other bright hues for a yummy dessert table...

In the style of good old Chandler from Friends, ' Could this tree be any more amazing?'

Do you love pink & purple as much as me? What are your colour obsessions at the moment?
