Keats Love Quote

I so enjoyed finding a suitable love quote for the video we did for a couple recently that I've been looking for more lovely litttle lines to inspire you.

You are always new. The last of your kisses was ever the sweetest.

It's from a letter John Keats wrote to his lover Fanny Brawne and is so wonderfully eloquent I have to show you the rest of the letter.

March 1820

Sweetest Fanny,

You fear, sometimes, I do not love you so much as you wish? My dear Girl I love you ever and ever and without reserve. The more I have known you the more have I lov'd. In every way - even my jealousies have been agonies of Love, in the hottest fit I ever had I would have died for you. I have vex'd you too much. But for Love! Can I help it? You are always new. The last of your kisses was ever the sweetest; the last smile the brightest; the last movement the gracefullest. When you pass'd my window home yesterday, I was fill'd with as much admiration as if I had then seen you for the first time. You uttered a half complaint once that I only lov'd your Beauty. Have I nothing else then to love in you but that? Do not I see a heart naturally furnish'd with wings imprison itself with me? No ill prospect has been able to turn your thoughts a moment from me. This perhaps should be as much a subject of sorrow as joy - but I will not talk of that. Even if you did not love me I could not help an entire devotion to you: how much more deeply then must I feel for you knowing you love me. My Mind has been the most discontented and restless one that ever was put into a body too small for it. I never felt my Mind repose upon anything with complete and undistracted enjoyment - upon no person but you. When you are in the room my thoughts never fly out of window: you always concentrate my whole senses. The anxiety shown about our Love in your last note is an immense pleasure to me; however you must not suffer such speculations to molest you any more: not will I any more believe you can have the least pique against me. Brown is gone out -- but here is Mrs Wylie -- when she is gone I shall be awake for you. -- Remembrances to your Mother.

Your affectionate, J. Keats

He was already dying of tuberculosis when he wrote this at only 23 and the tragedy only makes the pure emotion more poignant.

Gemma Reynolds Photography

Firstly, apologies for not blogging more frequently but I've been very busy on a variety of wedding and events projects and have become very behind. So I've slapped my own wrists and promise to bring you wedding treats more regularly from now on!

So here's some work from London based photographer Gemma Reynolds. These shots are mainly from shoots she's worked on but they perfectly demonstrate the excellent eye Gemma possesses.

Gemma's been featured in Brides Magazine and has been asked by Vogue (woohoo) to be their top 12 recommended photographers for their December 2009 issue.

She has a studio in central London for brides to go and have photos taken before the wedding where many have used the oppportunity to provide a little surprise for hubby to be!

Is there a more whimsical irrestible fabric than tulle? It's so versatile for bridal dresses - it's perfect for those floaty fairy moments but also suits punk/rock n roll styles as well. Here's a collection of beauties for you to feast your eyes on...more lovelies to come...

Love Quotes

As part of our wedding services we do video editing for couples. So they send us their video footage and we edit it with music in a way that suits the couple.

We recently worked with an unconventional couple. Unconventional in that she loves cheesy music, soppy films and everything uber romantic. And he hates 'all that crap' as he puts it.

So when we looked for a way to sum up their wedding video it was a struggle until we came upon this lovely lovely Emily Bronte quote from Wuthering Heights...

'Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same'

Nothing was so perfectly expressive and succint and I hope it gives you the same warm glow it gave us...

Blue bottles and delicate flowers

This image is so delectable I want to eat it. It's from Eat Drink Chic for those of you who haven't yet discovered it. Amy Moss' blog does exactly what it says on the tin and provides ' stylish ideas and D.I.Y for parties, weddings...'

Why brides spend hundreds and hundreds on dramatic bouquets I'll never understand because as far as I'm concerned there's nothing more romantic than simple bottles with garden flowers. Lovely to look at on this blustery wet evening.

How romantic and dreamy is this?

I love the combination of nude colours and floral patterns with the black and pink curtains and chandelier. It's elegant, sexy, romantic, vintage and most importantly it's interesting to look at. So for those of you who want a pastel, floral feel to your wedding but don't want to be too girly, add a bit of black...

Emily Quinton Photography

I've been meaning to blog about Emily's lovely lovely photos for so long and have finally got round to it, it's just been rather hard to decide which photos to use!

Anyway here's a selection. You can see much more of her work here

I think I like the way there's a real lightness in her photos. They're artfully shot in such a way that the subjects get the attention they deserve but they're also fun and relaxed.

How cool does this wedding look?!

Good wedding photographers are supposed to catch moments when people are natural and this is a perfect example of this.

This is one of my faves...

There's a limited amount of excitement you can bring to photography cakes so I like the angle used here.

Sums it up really...

You can get to her blog from here so don't delay, if you haven't checked her out yet do it now!

Everything Fabulous

This image from Everything Fabulous is as it says it is and contains lots of inspiration for a more fabulous life!

I love the elegant, refined yet rough around the edges feel it has (avoiding shabby chic term) and adore the vases and simple blooms. This would be perfect for a spring wedding at home and it lovely to look at on a cold autumnal day.

jade, pale pink, mood board

I was inspired to create this mood board by Chanel's new jade nail polish which I have developed a serious crush on (if that's possible).

I have so many more images to use I may have to blog about this colour scheme every week. I think it's the cool contrasting yet complimentary tones of pale pink and jade that make it work so well.
