Stargazing

Bring a little stardust to your wedding styling. What about a moon and star cut out as your photo booth? Click here for how to make yourself.

You don't want to go overboard with the star & moon styling, just a sprinkling here and there but then it can look pretty ace...

Black & white mood board

Inspired by one of my brides (whose upcoming wedding is epic let me tell you), this board is all about the black and white lovin' with a slightly dark undertone...

Pastel inspiration board

If you're feeling uninspired by your wedding styling or just want to shake things up a bit why not curate an inspiration board to get your creative juices flowing.

Looking solely at wedding blogs and magazines can leave you feeling a little deflated sometimes, (and me too), so that's when I usually soak up all the pretties on Pinterest.

If you want a private inspiration board (Pinterest please hurry and offer this soon), you can create one on photoshop, or sites like beeclip.

Inky indigo

I've always been interested in colour but since becoming a wedding planner and stylist I've looked at the concept of colour and colours in general in a whole new way.

I've always liked blues and greens best. As testified by my teal obsession. Recently it's the deep, evocative, inky indigo that's making me swoon.

You can see some of my other mood boards here.

What do you think of indigo?

Antique gold, yellow and white wedding

I'm working with a bride with this colour palette and I just can't get enough. With white, gold and yellow you can be chic, quirky, fun, modern, vintage inspired.... the possibilities are endless and that always makes for an enjoyable wedding styling process.

What do you think? Do you like it more or less than teal and purple? I just can't decide.

You bring peace to my heart...

Not everybody's cup of tea but certainly a day for some gratuitous heart action. Whatever you get up to this evening, have a good one.

Sparkly things...

...in honour of the fact it's nearly ish my birthday, it's Friday tomorrow, I'm feeling Christmassy AND it is Anna's (of the ring fame) wedding this weekend. Yippee!

If I was having a winter wedding I'd want it to look (and be) totally, shamefully decadent. Glitter and sparkles would rejoice...

Oooh makes me want to run out and buy a head to toe sparkly outfit. How do you feel about in-your-face sparkles?

And have a super shiny weekend my lovelies!

Rustic, Autumn wedding love

It's official. Autumn is definitely in full swing here in the UK and after the chilliness of today it feels like winter isn't far behind. Long lazy days in parks and cosmopolitan drinking on roof terraces are fast becoming a hazy memory.

Summer weddings are great for the whole rustic, woodland, barn vibe because they're outdoorsy and generally look gorgeous. But to really enhance what's happening naturally, you can't beat an autumn wedding.

Could this look be any more autumnal? Click on the pic to see how to create this rather elegant side 'do.

Loving the shades...

For an autumn wedding the groom has got to wear a red bow tie, no?

These wood slice centrepieces with candles would be so warming ( + affordable) and look great on long banquet tables for a cosy barn wedding.

As favours, or a nice alternative to a candy buffet using seasonal fruits is budget friendly, eco friendly and looks pretty awesome in photos.

This cake couldn't really be any more rustic really.

Although these bite sized cupcakes would be a cute alternative.

It'd be fun to use autumn inspired props for a photo booth or shots with your photographer. Think brollies and wellies for a photo shoot with a twist.

What do you think? Could you have autumn wedding or are you all about the summer lovin'?

Jade, turquoise, mint, greeny blue - whatever this colour is - I like it a lot

I don't know what it is about this colour that gets me. It's subtle but makes an impact. It's feminine but not too girly. I am totally smitten.

swoon.....

No wonder she's laughing, her shoes are AMAZING.

This colour goes super well with a ruffly pastel pink cake...

Has this colour always been around? I feel like I've only been aware of it in the past year or so if that doesn't sound insane? Surely it existed before 2009. And what is it's proper name? A colour this splendid should have a proper name.

Pink & Purple

Pink and purple is currently my favourite colour combo. I love the unapologetic bright, bold, sexiness of these two together. Pale pink, bright purple vs hot pink and lilac I like 'em all...

I adore these short, pastel dresses. At the risk of upstaging the bride I'd love to see some daring bridesmaids in these bad boys.

Are these purple hydrangeas I spy?

Fresh flowers on the head instead of in the hands. Has anyone seen a bride do this?

Could this boutonniere be any more gorgeous/divine/cute/insert any other overused adjective?

So technically this isn't a groom, it's the rather delish Devendra Banhart, nonetheless I'm quite a fan of the pink bow tie and black braces.

For sheer glam factor, this pale lilac gown...

Or this pink perfection perhaps...

This one is an actual real bride...

Yes, I'll have all of these please...

Some of you clever chicks will have noticed this ring is not pink and purple, rather blue and purple but it's too damn wondrous not to include.

Pale pastel pinkies and over the knee socks...

or the rather more glam satin babies...

Not sure how I could bring myself to cut this...

Combined with other bright hues for a yummy dessert table...

In the style of good old Chandler from Friends, ' Could this tree be any more amazing?'

Do you love pink & purple as much as me? What are your colour obsessions at the moment?
