Vintage Magpie

How chic and elegant is this bouquet? Created by Emma of Vintage Magpie this is a perfect vintage alternative bouquet. I love the textures and nude colours that come together to make it feel like a collection of old treasures. And it's put together in such a way that it appears artfully cluttered which just adds to the romance.

Perfect for a bride who wants to break the rules a little bit but traditional enough to still feel beautifully bridal. Love it.

Picture Perfect

I know this is a tiny image but I absolutely had to show it because it is quite incredible. I found it on Jessica Claire's photography website. It wasn't for a real wedding but to showcase what the team could all do. And how fabulous is it? Makes me think of Alice in Wonderland, Marie Antoinette and many other delicious things. See it in it's full glory here

How beautiful is this!

Ok so it doesn't have a lot (if anything to do directly with weddings but I found this on We Heart It (actual image is from LOOKBOOK - where uber cool kids showcase their style) and had to blog about it.

I'm a sucker for anything colourful which this certainly is and it's very ethereal and floaty which is often how brides like to feel.

Enjoy

Animals in love!

These cushions caught my eye whilst researching today. They're from Elsewares an independent art and design site based in the US. They're $69.95 and with international shipping they might be a touch pricy but they're so cute... look at the hearts!

Flo and Percy - The Wonderland Collection

The names of these amazing vintage inspired collection is enough to make me want them all. Above is the White Queen Cuff and White Queen Headband.

And this is The Mad Hatter Comb.

I love the way they're very sophisticated yet a little bit edgy. Perfect for a bride wanting to do things differently.

Their other cool creations include the art deco inspired Gatsby range and the Looking Glass collection.

The Knot

Not exactly favoured by those wanting to do their wedding differently The Knot has some visually nice ideas to further your reception planning.

To save you the trouble of wading through them all here's a selection we like...

The wedding we last did had origami animals as centrepieces - it's a lot more affordable than dramtic flower displays.

The bride made this chair covers herself and they're a nice easy way to make plain chairs a bit more exciting.

Stones from the beach and simple glass vases make for sweet delicate decorations

I like the black and white table cloth...

Sunsets

Recently there have been some truly spectacular sunsets over the canal where I live and they're so beautiful I felt I had to share. They might not be directly related to weddings but when you're looking for inspiration it always helps to look at nature I find.
